About Us
Founded in 2012 as Foot in Brazil, we are an awarding winning sports consultancy and delivery agency.
Now based in London, we rebranded to Foot in Sport in 2017 and operate in the UK, France and Brazil.
Tanya Harris is a major events, Olympic and Paralympic Games specialist.
She is the former Chief Operating Officer at the British Paralympic Association and Head of Summer Sport Engagement at the British Olympic Association and was deputy Chef de Mission at the Beijing, Vancouver and London Games.
Combining her passion for sport and eye for organisational detail Tanya has managed a full spectrum of sports events from Athletics and Golf to Snooker and Skateboarding.
In 2012 she co-founded Foot in Sport and enjoys the challenge of supporting clients with their strategy and operations for sporting events across the globe.
Foot in Sport managed the British diving team’s pre Olympic Games warm weather training camp in Rio de Janeiro. Working with the performance director and support staff our team negotiated and facilitated training at the Olympic pool, the Maria Lenk. We also managed the end to end logistical arrangements including transport, hotel accommodation, meals and on the ground support. British diving went on to finish second in the medal table at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The team returned to train in Rio in 2019 and once again we are proud to have managed their training camp in Brazil.
Foot in Sport supported NZ sailing with their performance desire to be based out of the village for the Rio de Janeiro Games. We planned and provided the logistical support to the team, including assessing transport routes and timings, managing local transport and drivers, a full security assessment of the location and threats and 24/7 security personnel. Working closely with team at NZ sailing we delivered this service for the test event, tweaking and refining for the Olympic Games. We ensured that NZ sailing were able to operate efficiently and securely outside of the Olympic bubble. NZ sailing finished 4thon the sailing medal table, the top medalling NZ team across all sports.
Foot in Sport facilitated 2 sessions with the key stakeholders of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix 2018 and Taekwondo World Championships 2019. Working with the funding, host and event management partners these workshops focused on discussing, defining and agreeing the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic objectives of the events.
